About Linda Segall

A professional writer and editor, Linda Segall brings a unique combination of experience and skills acquired through two careers — the first in human resources and training management, the second in writing and editorial management. Her experience has given her a keen perspective of business few journalists can claim to enjoy.

Linda spent her “first” career in training and human-resources management, working in a variety of industries as well as in a number of different business settings, which gave her insights into jobs, business, and organizational effectiveness. The companies she worked for included Miller Brewing Company, Alcoa, Ball Corporation, and Tenneco Automotive.

In 1993 she put her business insights to good use first as the editor of business-to-business (B2B) training newsletters, then as editor-in-chief of the premier business magazine for chiropractors. Later, she helped launch a four-color regional magazine for small business owners.

Aside from her work experiences, Linda has been published in leading trade journals, magazines, consumer magazines, and newsletters.

She is recognized nationally as an expert in management, communication, teamwork, and leadership and has appeared on radio and television, including CNBC’s Power Lunch.

The books Linda has written or co-authored include:

  • Don’t Back into the Palm Tree! Real Life Lessons for New and Wannabe RVers (Createspace, 2016)
  • The Gluten Connection (Rodale, 2007)
  • Leading Your Business Forward (McGraw Hill, 2013)
  • Leaving Your Leadership Legacy (Oaklea Press, 2007)
  • Buried Alive! Digging Out of a Management Dumpster (Oaklea Press, 2004)
